I have over a decade of experience in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industry. Currently, I work at Ipsen, a global biopharma group that develops and commercialises innovative medicines in three key therapeutic areas – Oncology, Neurosciences and Rare Diseases. Within the Global Product & Portfolio Strategy organisation, I’m part of the Global Business Insights & Analytics team with a focus on competitive intelligence to support leaders and stakeholders on strategic decisions for our Oncology portfolio.

I am an advisor on the European Healthtech Translation Advisory Board and a mentor of PanaceaStars, Panacea Innovation’s flagship vehicle for mining, de-risking, accelerating, growing and funding early-stage deep science companies. I have also been appointed as an external assessor for Innovate UK to review and select the best proposals based on both scientific and commercial merits for the agency’s funding competitions in life sciences and healthcare.

Previously I was a management consultant specialising in the pharmaceutical industry, in particular, European mid-sized pharmas, where I worked closely with senior executives and cross-functional teams to develop strategies, capabilities and partnerships that fit their unique organisational heritage and the market realities. Prior to this, I worked in Technology Development at GlaxoSmithKline,  a multi-disciplinary research arm focusing on the development and application of microfluidic technologies in drug discovery.

I hold a BSc in Biochemistry from Imperial College London and a PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Cambridge. I am also the Honorary Secretary of The British Malaysian Society, a non-profit organisation that develops and drives forward projects and events aimed at strengthening business, cultural and educational relations between the UK and Malaysia.
